The Members App is a daily service, not a notice board.

Members return when the app helps them answer real questions: What is the course like today? What is happening at the club? Where do I book, pay, read, or ask for help? The admin portal brings those answers together so staff can keep them current.

Be useful first

Give priority to course information, booking, events, scorecards, club services, and timely news.

Work from one place

Reuse content and media across the app and connected channels instead of rebuilding the same message repeatedly.

Communicate with care

Send notifications when the message is timely and relevant. Useful communication builds trust; noise makes members opt out.

Choose the member need

Start with what the member should know or be able to do.

Update and preview

Make the smallest useful change and check it at phone size.

Publish and confirm

Check the real app after any member-visible action.

These four levels are different. Create the destination first, then organise and fill it.

  1. Menu item The destination members choose in the app menu.
  2. Page The screen opened by that menu item.
  3. Tab A named view inside the page. It is not a folder.
  4. Content box The text, image, action, article, or live information placed inside a tab.

A common source of confusion

Which people area should I use?

Member List

Use this for member identity, contact data, app-access status, manual entry, CSV import, and direct member notifications.

Users

Use this for people profiles and reusable groups that appear inside the app or support section administration.

Open Users reference

Club Sections

Use this to create a sub-club area, choose its pages, and assign which App Users may administer it.

Know the effect: Save stores changes. Publish makes content visible. Send starts notification delivery. Archive removes an item from active use. Delete may be permanent. The moon/sun button changes only the administrator’s appearance.

Look up a screen

Screens and controls

Use this reference when a task sends you to a particular page, or when you need to understand an individual field, option, or confirmation.

How the screenshots work

Point to, focus, or tap a highlighted area. Its explanation appears beside or below the picture, so the screenshot remains readable. “Controls on this screen” offers the same information as a list.

Troubleshooting and important limits

The Content Editor preview is blank

The editor normally loads a real preview of the member app. Wait a few seconds, then reload the page. A permanently blank phone preview is a loading problem, not the normal editor.

A button is disabled

Complete the required fields first. Some actions also need a club, member, group, image, course, or date to be selected.

A member cannot receive a push message

The member must have the app installed and notifications enabled. Without a push token, the portal cannot deliver the notification.

A feature is unavailable

Some integrations and modules are not enabled for every club. An unavailable action cannot be completed until the feature is enabled or released.

The portal looks different

Your permissions, enabled modules, club data, or a software update can change which fields and actions are shown. Start with the page title and use search to find the task or label.

Before publishing, sending, or deleting

Recheck the target audience and content. Red action labels in this guide identify controls with a broad or irreversible effect.
